1. Who We Are

Kingdom Bible Reading Club ("KBRC", "we", "us", or "our") is a Bible reading and discipleship platform available at kbrc.app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with transparency and integrity.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: name and email address (via Google Sign-In or email registration)
• Profile data: display name, avatar, bio
• Reading activity: reading plans, progress, streaks, XP, reflections, bookmarks, highlights, and memory verses
• Quiz data: quiz attempts, scores, and performance
• Community activity: group membership, posts, comments, discussions, prayer requests and responses, weekly league participation, reading-duo partnerships, follows, and reactions
• Messages: direct messages between users (see section 6)
• Donations: if you donate, your name, email, and donation amount. Card details are handled entirely by our payment processor (Paystack) — we never see or store them
• Device data: push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)
• Timezone: used to send reminders at the right time

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the KBRC platform
• To send Bible reading reminders and push notifications (only if you enable them)
• To calculate XP, streaks, and leaderboard rankings
• To enable group and community features
• To respond to support requests

4. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes. Your data is used solely to operate and improve KBRC.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure, industry-leading cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We implement access controls and security best practices to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.

6. Direct Messages

Direct messages are private between you and the recipient — no other user can see them. They are encrypted in transit and at rest, but they are not end-to-end encrypted: like most in-app messaging, platform administrators can technically access message data, and may do so only where necessary for moderation, abuse investigation, or legal compliance. Please do not share passwords, financial details, or other highly sensitive information through chat.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services:

• Google — for sign-in authentication
• Secure cloud database provider — data storage and authentication
• Cloud hosting provider — application hosting and delivery
• API.Bible — Bible text and narrated audio content
• Paystack — donation payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant)
• Email delivery provider — account and notification emails

8. Your Rights

• You can update your profile at any time from the Settings page
• You can disable push notifications at any time from Settings
• You can delete your account from your Profile — this permanently removes all your data
• You can contact us to request a copy of your data

9. Children's Privacy

KBRC is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of KBRC after changes means you accept the updated policy.
